A police vehicle was torched following a clash between the supporters of Awami League and BNP at West Nandanpur Primary School polling centre in Laxmipur-2 constituency.
According to the witnesses, the incident occurred around 11 am today when the activists of AL and BNP locked horn for taking control of the polling centers, leaving five people injured.
Confirming the news, West Nandanpur Government Primary School polling centre presiding officer Sohel said: "The voting in the centre remained closed for 20 minutes as some miscreants attacked the center and tried to snatch the ballot boxes."
" Being informed police brought the situation under control," he added.
