Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the new members of the new cabinet have been sworn in.
President M Abdul Hamid administered the oath of the new 24 ministers around 3.45 pm today while the 19 state ministers took the oath around 3:55 pm. Later, three deputy ministers took the oath around 4:00 pm.
A total of 31 new faces was inducted in the 47-member new cabinet.
Of the 47 lawmakers, 24 are ministers, 19 state ministers and three deputy ministers. Meanwhile, three have been appointed as technocrat ministers.
Sheikh Hasina swore in as prime minister of Bangladesh government for the fourth time and the third in a row since the Awami League government took the power in 2009.
The official gazette over the new cabinet will be published immediately and the outgoing cabinet will be abolished.
