Facing arrest warrants in separate cases, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to return home from London on Wednesday (today).
Completing nearly a three-month visit to the United Kingdom, BNP Chairperson is returning home by an Emirates Airlines flight to be landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital around 5:20 pm, sources told Kalerkantho.
BNP insiders also said the party leaders and activists will gather in the airport areas to receive Khaleda Zia on her arrival, this afternoon.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said: “After returning home from London, Khaleda Zia will work to revive the party again.”
Earlier, in different cases, filed against her and other party leaders, a court in Comilla and two others here in Dhaka have issued arrest warrants for Khaleda Zia.
The Comilla court on October 9 issued an arrest warrant against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a case filed in connection with the deaths of eight people in arson in 2015 while two Dhaka courts separately issued arrest warrants against Khaleda Zia in two different cases on October 12.
On July 15, Khaleda Zia went to London for receiving necessary medical treatment there.
