Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad said his party will nominate candidates in 300 constituencies across the country in the upcoming parliamentary election.
He made the comment while responding journalists at Rangpur Circuit House on Tuesday.
The former president said: “People of the country were happy during the nine-year-long regime of Jatiya Party as the prices of the daily commodities were affordable at that time.”
“Our party leaders and activists are working with the grassroots people to contest the national elections,” he said, pointing to the next general election in the country.
Hussain Muhammad Ershad also said: “Jatiya Party will participate in the upcoming election, even if, BNP avoid it. The countrymen want Jatiya Party in power again.”
