BNP is set to sit with diplomats working in Bangladesh this afternoon about the country’s latest political development.
The party’s senior leaders led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will meet the diplomats around 4pm at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital.
Khaleda’s conviction and imprisonment, judicial processes of the August 21 grenade attack case, EVM usage in the upcoming national polls and some other political issues could be discussed in the meeting, the party insiders said.
BNP chairperson Khaleda is now in jail as a special court on February 8 sentenced her to five years imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
The next general election is slated to be held in the last week of December this year.
