BNP is set to hold a rally at either Suhrawardy Udyan or in front of the party headquarters on September 29 (Saturday).
“BNP will hold the scheduled rally on Saturday in Dhaka even if the police administration doesn’t allow us to hold the rally,” said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The BNP leader made the comments while addressing at a press conference held at the party headquarters around 11am in the capital.
“The rally was set to hold on Thursday but it is rescheduled for Saturday as per police's advice. But the administration is still not allowing us to arrange the rally,” he said.
Earlier yesterday, speaking about the upcoming programme, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said: "A letter has been sent to the Housing and Public Works Ministry and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) seeking permission of the rally at either Suhrawardy Udyan or in front of party headquarters."
