BNP today started handing over nomination letters to its party candidates to vie in the upcoming general election.
The party began the distribution process around 10:30am at its chairperson’s Gulshan office, sources confirmed.
The Jatiya Party is also set to begin distributing nomination letters among election candidates later this afternoon.
Earlier yesterday, Awami League started issuing letters to the aspirants who have been selected to contest the upcoming 11th parliamentary elections scheduled to be held on December 30.
The party senior leaders started the process at its office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue at 10:30am on the day.
According to AL insiders, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will contest the polls from Gopalganj-3 and Rangpur-6.
Obaidul Quader got nomination letter for Noakhali-5 constituency while national team cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza from Narail-2 constituency.
On November 8, a fresh election schedule was announced by the Election Commission and according to the new date, the general election would be held on December 30.
