Asian Volleyball: Bangladesh to play Kyrgyzstan in semis on Wednesday

Defending champions Bangladesh will take on Kyrgyzstan in the 2nd semifinal of the six-nation Bangabandhu Asian Senior Men’s Central Zone International Volleyball Championship on Wednesday at 5pm at the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium.

In the first semifinal, Turkmenistan which emerged Group B champions with an all-win record will face Nepal at 3 pm on the same day at the same venue.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan beat Uzbekistan by 25-18, 24-26, 19-25, 25-18, 25-13 points in a keenly contested last group match on Tuesday afternoon to be group runners-up.

Earlier on Monday, hosts Bangladesh emerged Group A champions to reach the semifinals of the tournament, also with all-win record beating the Maldives by straight 3-0 sets in their last group match after beating Nepal by 3-1 sets in the opening match on Saturday.
