Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has gone past the 5000 ODI runs to become the third Bangladeshi batsman.
He reached the milestone during the match against Afghanistan in the super four match of the ACC Asia Cup at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Sunday.
He made it in the 190th match and in 176th innings. He made 29 half-centuries and six centuries, the last of which was a career-best 144 in the 2018 Asia Cup opener against Sri Lanka on September 15.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan joined the 5000-run club as Bangladeshi batsman.
Tamim was the first to score this run while top-ranked all-rounder Shakib became the fastest player to reach the double of 5,000 ODI runs and 200 ODI wickets.
