2nd 'Made in Bangladesh' smartphone hits market

The second 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled smartphone 'Primo E8s' manufactured at the mobile phone plant of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd. in Chandra of Gazipur, has hit country's tech market.

The smartphone, which is an upgraded version of the first smartphone 'Primo E8i', was unveiled at a function at Savar Golf Club on Monday and is available at all Walton Plaza, brand and retail outlets across the country at a price of Tk3,999.

Informing that the smartphone has been manufactured at its own plant, Asifur Rahman Khan, Chief of Walton Cellular Phone Marketing Division, said customers who buy the smartphone will enjoy 30 days instant replacement guaranty with 101 days after sales service on priority basis which will be provided within 48 hours.

The 4.5-inch Primo E8s features a 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor, Mali-400 GPU, 1 gigabyte of RAM with 8 gigabyte internal storage which is expandable up to 32 gigabyte. It has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash while bears another 5MP front camera for selfies.

The phone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 and features a 1600 mAh Li-ion battery. 3G-enabled dual SIM supported smartphone is available in three attractive colours of Black, Glossy Golden and Grey.
