State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today underscored the need for increasing the use of modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in all areas to develop the country.
He said "Bangladesh is using modern technology in different areas. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is moving forward to achieve the development goals, including Vision-2021 and Vision-2041."
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration function of 4G network coverage at Singra Upazila.
Chief Executive Officer of the Robi Axiata Mahtab Uddin Ahmed presided over the function.
Palak said "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the mobile open for all in 1998. So, technology has expanded across the country."
He said technology has reduced the gap between village and town. Now, the youth of village are earning through freelancing, he added.
"Many educated youth are becoming entrepreneur of the agriculture sector. They are farming by using modern machineries, including combined harvester machine," he added.
