Walton launches first ‘Made in Bangladesh’ feature phone

Local handset manufacturer Walton has launched first ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled feature phone that sports a 1800 mAh battery for long time power backup.

Priced at only 999 BDT, the device is available at all Walton Plaza, brand and retail outlets across the country in several colors, Senior Assistant General Manager of Creative and Publications Department of Walton Augustin Sujan Barai has confirmed this in a press release on Thursday.

Asifur Rahman Khan, chief of Walton cellular phone marketing division, said the dual SIM supported Olvio MM17 is the first feature phone manufactured at Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd. in Chandra of Gazipur after we released 6 models of smartphones since the inauguration of country’s first mobile phone plant on October 5 last year.

He said customers who buy the phone will enjoy 30 days instant replacement guaranty with 101 days after sales service on priority basis which will be provided within 48 hours along with regular one-year warranty.

The phone bears a 2.4-inch screen and has some attractive features among which digital camera, mp3, mp4, 3gp player, FM radio with recorder, 32GB micro SD card support, GPRS, Bluetooth, torch, built-in Facebook, blacklist, whitelist, keypad and torch light notification, automatic call recording etc. are most noteworthy.
