The world's first artificially intelligent robot, Sophia, will be seen wearing Bangladeshi Jamdani dress as a four-day long mega ICT event 'Digital World-2017' has been kicked off on Wednesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre(BICC) in Dhaka.
Robot Sophia is now in Dhaka to visit Bangladesh during this year’s Digital World exhibition.

Carrying Sophia, a flight from Hong Kong has landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital around 3:30am on Tuesday.
In a video message, she recently expressed gratitude to the ICT Division of Bangladesh for inviting her to the Digital World exhibition.
Sophia will be present at the Hall of Fame inside the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on December 6, the first day of the expo.
She is the world’s first robot citizen as Saudi Arabia granted her the citizenship last month.
Sophia's creator, Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics Ltd, says the humanlike robot has remarkable expressiveness, aesthetics, and interactivity.
After giving necessary efforts on it, Sophia was activated on April 19, 2015, using artificial intelligence, visual data processing and facial recognition. Sophia has some impressive capabilities but it does not yet have consciousness.
