The Co-pilot of the US-Bangla flight that crashed yesterday, Prithula Rashid, has reportedly "sacrificed her life while saving 10 Nepali passengers."

She is now hailed as "Daughter of Bangladesh" for her "supreme sacrifice."

The story of her bravery and sacrifice has gone viral on social networking sites since this morning. However, no details regarding the matter could be found immediately.

Prithula is among the 26 Bangladeshi people, who died when an US-Bangla flight from Dhaka crashed in Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport yesterday.

Three other crew members--Captain of the US-Bangla Airlines flight Abid Sultan, Khwaza Hossain Mohammad Shafi, and Shamim Akter--also died in the plane crash.

Last night the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bangladesh provided a list of the injured and the deceased.

According to the list, 23 Bangladeshi passengers were killed and 9 were injured in the incident.

However, the family members of FH Priok, who had been enlisted among the deceased, claimed that he is alive.
