Total 66.64 percent students passed this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations across the country, which is 2.27 percentage points lower than that of previous year.
The pass rate was 68.97 percent last year.
Around 10:00am, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over a copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka.
The examinees will get their results at their respective examination centres, websites of their respective education boards and through short message service (SMS), said ministry officials.
The results are also available on the website--http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.
For eight general education boards, the students have to type HSCfirst three letters of the respective boardsroll number2018 and then send to 16222.
The students of Alim have to write AlimMadroll number2018 and sent to 16222 while the students of vocational courses have to type HSCTecroll number2018 and send to 1622.
Over 1,311, 457 students registered to the examinations which were started on April 2 under eight general boards, one madrasa board, and one technical board.
The examinations ended on May 23.
