Different parts of the country have experienced light to moderate rain this morning.
"We have recorded light to moderate rain in different parts of the country such as Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur and costal belts on the Eid day today," meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik sadi this on Saturday noon, reports BSS.
In Dhaka city's Jurain, Jatrabari, Banosree, Shanir Akhra, Demra have experienced moderate rains this morning, he said, adding that there are chances of moderate rain in Dhaka in the afternoon.
The maximum 124mm rainfall was recorded at Sandwip in the last 24 hours, he also said.
However the Met office forecasts that light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The sun sets at 06.16pm today and rises at 05.41am tomorrow in Dhaka. Country's maximum temperature 34.7 degree Celsius was recorded in Dinajpur on Friday while minimum 24.0 degree Celsius was in Rangamati today.
