Signal No 3 for maritime, 1 for river ports

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no three.

Deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and squally weather may affect the maritime ports and coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice. They are also advised not to venture into the deep sea.

Riverport warning: In association with rain or thunder showers temporary south or southeasterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60kph is likely to occur over the regions of Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet wherein riverports shall hoist cautionary signal no one (r) one.

Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna & Barisal, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

Temperature: Day temperature may fall slightly over western part of Bangladesh and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country. Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
