Lowest temperature recorded 2.6 °C in Tetulia

The lowest temperature has been recorded 2.6 degree Celsius in Tetulia upazila of Panchagarh when most parts of the country including the capital city Dhaka have remained in the grip of the severe cold wave since the last couple of days.

Tetulia Met office sources say: “It is the new record for the lowest temperature in the country's history.”

Earlier this morning, the lowest temperature has been recorded 3 degree Celsius at Saidpur and Dimla upazilas in Nilphamari district.

Including Dhaka, the cities like Mymensingh, Barisal, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna and parts of Srimangal and Sitakunda are currently experiencing light to medium cold waves while the lowest temperature in Dhaka has been recorded 9.3 degree Celsius in the morning.
