Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
"Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today ," said a met office press release here.
Day temperature may fall by 1-3 degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country during the period, the release added.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh, the release said, adding that seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
In a warning message, the met office said, "In association with rain or thundershowers temporary west or northwesterly gusty or squally wind speeding 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Mymensingh, Sylhet, Tangail, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Rangpur, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox'sbazar, Rajshahi, Bogra and Pabna wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one".
The maximum 37.2 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded yesterday at Satkhira and Khulna in Khulna division and today's minimum 18.0 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat in Rangpur division.
Today's sunset over the capital city will be at 6:21 pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 5:34 am.
