Though the calendar says it's time to welcome the winter season, people are yet to get rid of the post-summer heat and humidity.
According to the Met Office, although the monsoon is not active now, the country is set to witness two or three depressions over the bay in November and the temperature will start falling.
The weather may get cooler by the end of November and the temperature will fall to 6 degrees celsius, said the officials of Met Office.
Shamsuddin Ahmed, director for Bangladesh Meteorological Department, said: "Several numbers of cold waves may sweep over the country this winter. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue at some places till the noon."
