Narail District Police have detained 14 youths from in front of different schools and colleges for sexually harassing girls.
The detainees are-Sabbir Rahman Akash (20), son of Shahinur Rahman of Moheshkhola village, Golam Sakalain Protul (20), son of late ABS Golam Mostafa of Aladatpur village and Sheikh Rashed Ahmed Akash, son of Abdur Rouf Molla, Sazzad Jalal Pias (20), son of Sheikh Jalal Uddin of Durgapur and Ashikul Islam (19), late son of Aminur Rahman, Naim (20), son of Abdul Kalam of Madrasa village, Nayan Khan (18), son of Mahmud Khan, Sajib (21), son of Elahi Sardar, Sajib Hasan (21), son of Anwarul Kabir of Borashula, Rahatuzzaman Bishal, son of Oheduzzaman of Shamukhola, Kazi Amir Hamza Akash (22), son of Jakir Hossain, MM Akash (17), son of Akam Sheikh of Amtola, Md Shahin Sheikh (20), son of Jannu Sheikh of Morichpasha village, and Md Mehrab Hossain (18), son of Saifur Rahman of Moheshkhola.
Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jashim Uddin said they have been detained after conducting drives at various educational institutions.
“The detainees are in custody of Narail District Detective Branch (DB). Necessary measures will be taken against them so that no one stalks girls in the future,” he added.
